I have also used it but my experience was a lot different to yours. Having undergone Surgery in my left eye I found the lack of contrast make it very difficult to read. I am immensely disappointed as if this is the only option, with no means of customising it I fear that this will spell the end of my largely satisfied use of Evernote over the past 12 years, and I regret I will require to find a new home for my 28,000+ notes. I have submitted feedback to Evernote and can only hope that they take my comments into consideration.
Accessibility is important and I've found eyesight is so different for different people. My eyes aren't great with astigmatism. I also have a lot of trouble in low light which is why I don't drive much after 4pm in the Winter... take the bus or train.
I think one more theme would help. Something with more definition between the different elements.
I'm confused. The email I have received says: "How can I try the new UI?
For Evernote Desktop, all you need to do is make sure you install version 10.73.3 (or newer). For Evernote Web, updates are instead automatic. We are rolling out the new version gradually, so if you've not received it yet, just hang tight for a few more days."
So I am on 10.73.3 but no new UI. The wording on the email is ambiguous so I guess that after you have 10.73.3 you THEN need to wait for the new UI to be granted?
Yeah. As far as I know they're switching folk on in cohorts. Try doing a log out and back in again, I had to do this for it to work back at the beginning of December. As far as I know the new and old UIs have both been in the app for a while now.
I think they'd be happy with that description! When I looked at it last Aug they were saying that they didn't want the change to be a big jolt, more of an evolution so everything is still in the same place and pretty much looks the same. A few more changes coming over the next few weeks that will hopefully save a few clicks for most-used actions.
Great observations. I recently discovered I could not open jpg images I sent to Evernote as a screen clip or when I emailed photos from my Pixel 8 Pro. Any suggestions?
Just tried emailing a photo from my Android phone, I have a Fairphone 4, and it arrived in Evernote OK and I can open them. I also tried sharing the photo using the share menu and that worked OK.
Just your sent folder to see if it sent OK and also try the share menu as well see if it works?
Thanks for the reply and I am glad you are able to see the photos in Evernote. I can see the thumbnail version in Evernote but not the expanded version when I click on the photo. I already figured out a workaround by relying on my sent folder in gmail. I send the photos to Paperport and I also have the images in Google photos. Redundancy is good is good!
A better integration to third party like Google Calendar would be great to Google Contacts because when you send a note by email, there is no contact list to select.
(except if you used Workchat in the past, so magically your workchat contacts are still recognized today. This is like an easter egg function or an abandoned train station. :D)
Evernote customer service is awful. 2 weeks with account billing page off:
"We are having trouble displaying this page at the moment. Reload the page and try again. If you continue to have problems, please contact our customer service team."
Thanks, Yesterday at 12:24 I placed a support request.
Let's see how time it takes to reply ...
Currently my account is just the personal one, I moved all notebooks (uuuufffff) from Business account to personal because I didn't need two or more accounts. Maybe I opt in a next future to upgrade to Pro but not by the moment. Is it Pro support better???

Yes it flipped over about an hour after I'd updated. Fair innocuous is probably how I would describe it so far.

I love it. Still hoping to be able to color code tags and notebooks!
I have been begging to get rid of the black, so I am so thankful they listened.
Yeah. I'd love to see colours for tags and notebooks back.

Yeah, not the best right now. Try this link to go directly to the requests page and you should be able to add a message to the ticket.

Not at the moment. It's slowly getting better but I think it will take a while. It's all been moved in house.
Is it fast yet, or reasonably priced?
I think so. Use it every day.
