AMA 13: Evernote Daily Note templates & how do you use the calendar?

I love the Daily Note. I really dislike their choice of templates and the option to not use a template. I would also like to use one of my own EN templates. Any workaround? I have submitted a feature request.

Mel asks:

Do you use the calendar in Evernote? I've not managed to fit it into my workflow. How do you use it?
