Interesting topic! Liked the ideas about using Tags and Links in the "Chapters" Notes as a means of cross-referencing content.
About the distraction-free environment to write in - how about opening the Note in Lite Editor?
As for getting the draft book into Word - I think I'd export the draft to PDF, then open the PDF file in Word, and then save it as a Word document. U've done that often with PDF files. If you're self-publishing (perhaps using a service like lulu.com), your STP software (like Affinity Publisher_ could open the PDF export from EN and allow you to do all the formatting/styling etc.
Enjoy your content, very informative.
If you have written your chapter, doing a ctrl-a & ctrl-c to copy the lot into word, will this copy pictures as well as the text?
Quick test on my Wibdows desktop showed ctrl+A, ctrl+C, and paste only copied the text, nit inages
That's a bug and they know about it.

I've not used the Lite editor that much but would be an option.
PDF import to Word & publishing software is good to know. I've not tried that. Will give it a go for my reports.
