It would be good to be able to reply to an email forwarded to EN from within the app; also to be able to have subfolders. Most apps can do this now. Finally any hints about setting up a gtd system using tasks, at moment it doesn’t really lend itself to that sort of organisation. Thanks

OK, files are not deleted from import folder after they appear in EN. You are free to delete them by yourself later...

More important (and really annoying) is the fact that they re-appear in EN with every EN startup (i.e. after a version update). See https://discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/152321-067-imported-files-are-re-imported-should-be-deleted-after-import/

I've not had this happen. Are they in a Dropbox/OneDrive/Google type sync folder?

Expand full comment

No, it's a local folder on my Win-PC.

Because I run two EN accounts, I have to switch at least 2 times per day. Every account switch is implemented as a complete restart of the Win-App and every restart scans the import folder. If I forget to delete files there manually, the files get re-imported.

I direct all new notes into my inbox notebook. I eventually Move the notes to an appropriate notebook for filing. Is there a way to move the note and have Evernote move to the next note in my Inbox so I can file it and so on? At the moment the moved note stays on the screen and I have to open the Inbox to continue.

Move the note by Shift-Alt-M. This opens a dialog to select the destination notebook.

After the note is moved it disappears from the Inbox folder - but the Inbox folder list itself keeps visible.

I am using a Mac. I use Control-Command-M. Any suggestions appreciated.

I've noticed this and would love it to open the next note instead of leaving the one open. I tend to move files from my Inbox my clicking the note name in the breadcrumbs at the top but you get the same result.

I'm hopeful that things like this will get addressed but I don't think there's a workaround right now.

Thanks! I didn’t know about the sync folders. I’ll have to try that. Do you know anything about users getting the ability to control the image that is used for the thumbnail view of a note? I use lots of images and would like to be able to specify which one displays in the thumbnail rather than having the first image added to the note remain as the thumbnail.

Regarding thumbnails: You may follow https://discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/80084-control-which-image-shown-in-a-notes-thumbnailsnippet-view/?do=findComment&comment=736501

EN itself stated in April'24 that they're working on it (after > 10 Years of user complaints on that ;-)

Is there any issue with syncing the calendar to a business Google Workspace? I can get it to sync with my personal Google Calendar. But no matter how many times I set it up (and receive a confirmation message), EN never syncs with my Google Workspace calendar

I'm syncing OK here with Google Workspace but it was a bit intermittent yesterday.

Have you tried adding the Google calendar on a different app? Maybe in the web version.
