I'm not as organized as you. And in my years of using Evernote, I have never settled on one particular system, other than using Stacey Harmon's approach employing very disciplined naming conventions for notes and notebooks. I use task switcher mostly for finding notes. If that doesn't give me an immediate result, I can usually find something in few minutes by looking at my naming categories, and applying filters. Heres's the cleanup part: in the course of doing that, I often find notebooks that have gotten disorganized because I haven't applied the naming conventions consistently - so I will make a note to come back there and clean up, and usually I do that in a day or two.
I've been reluctant to delete things because of AI search. As I think you have posted previously, the more info in the account, the ore likely AI search is to be productive. ("Evernote, those jeans I bought last year have gotten too tight. What size were they?") I'm still struggling to make AI search work for me, but I can see the potential.
Finally, re: your reorganization, I'm seeing an unusual number of oddities in my Evernote account, I think likely to the server-side work on syncing and the "monolith.." You might want to be careful about making a lot of changes right now... chances for glitches are higher now than normally, I think.

Thanks Vinnie... I stick to a naming convention for notes but note notebooks, names for these are all over the place with emoji's in them! Stacey's system is really good and she has a huge amount of knowledge on Evernote.
Ai search is an odd one, after it being out for a year or so I tend to use it to search notes by advanced criteria instead of using the advanced search. I also use it for find things like account numbers. Like you, switch to and normal search as still what I use the most.
I'll keep a look out for consistency issues, not seen any myself but someone mentioned the other day that note counts were out, the notes were there, just not counted.
Jon - There doesn't seem to be a filter option for Trash. I have many years of notes in my trash and am wondering how I can just find the ones that are 2 years or older. How do you do it? Thanks.
Stacey got Evernote's attention about one -- the note count issue. She and I and a few other members of her Academy are seeing it. The count at the top of the note list is different from the note count in the side bar. Not a big deal unless it's indicative of a bigger problem. I'm guessing the poor folks working on RENT are pulling their hair out. Touch a feather in one part of the code and a thunderstorm happens in another part.

In the desktop app I open trash and sort by date created. From what I know you can't use advanced search or the Ai search for trash.
