I never saw it written like this, but it makes a lot of sense.

On the subject of workflow reviews, do you think the rigidity of doing these on a schedule (in your case, July & December) is better than simply doing it when you feel you should? Or to put it another way, 'do it when you feel like you should, but then make sure you don't do it again for awhile.'

I tend to do July & Dec as these are quiet months for me and I can look at all the apps I use, revisit all the little automations I have set up etc.

I would say once a year, twice a year max. Problem is if you review too much then you change too much and never get into a routine. If you leave it too long then work goals can change so much that they need different routines and processes.

Its a fine line and to be honest different for everyone as we all work in slightly different ways.
