No AMA this week as 16th October 2024 is Taming the Trunks 2nd birthday🎉
A big thank you to everyone who's subscribed or reads on a regular basis.
When I started the newsletter, the plan was to create something that kept folks up to date with the ever-changing world of Evernote, share mine and others workflows and help folk discover new ways of doing things.
I never wanted it to become a YouTube type of channel where the content seems secondary to the shouty "SUBSCRIBES" and just someone’s opinion on the latest new shiny thing. I wanted to use real life, everyday workflows and as I use EN for work and personal stuff I hope it’s working out OK.
The first post was nice and controversial about how I'm not a fan of tags, a bit of clickbait for the first article didn't hurt!
I never thought the newsletter would take off the way it has and right now this is post number 150 and the articles get just under 20,000 views per month.
Here's the top three posts
The future
Going forward, the Ask Me Anything (AMA) videos I started a couple of months ago are proving very popular so they will carry on and I'm hoping to record a few more interviews soon from folks who use the app on a daily basis. The aim is to expose everyone to different ideas and workflows.
I'm hoping to launch some sort of premium/paid service in the new year. I'm not entirely sure what it will look like, maybe a live AMA once a month, premium chat and some other features. What you see now will always be free to read.
I'd love to have your thoughts on this. If there was a premium version of TTT what should it include?
Supporting TTT
It doesn't cost a lot of money to run this newsletter but there are some costs. Things like I’ve just paid £66 for the domain name renewal and I pay for ChatGPT to create the cover images, not the articles. God no, they are all written 100% by me.
If you have it in your pocket to support TTT then it's much appreciated and you can buy me a coffee here.
Once again, thanks for reading and thanks for subscribing and I'm let me know what you'd like to see in TTT in the future.
All the best
Jon
Nicely done too, you don't look older. : )))))
And a good job on making the App's working and workflow much clear than most... and as noted by others in other postings, that includes Straight Forks or some such body.
Congratulations Jon!
I'm a fairly recent subscriber but have enjoyed working my way though your material and the insights offered. It's been a delight to find a space where the strengths and limitations of this terrific app can be discussed in frank and thoughtful ways.
