Does anyone know a shortcut for going from heading text to normal text? I know that # + space turns the text into Large header, but sometimes I'm on a line that's formatted Large Header and I want to go back to normal text.

CTRL+SHIFT+SPACE removes formatting, but it doesn't work on headers.... would be nice if it did. I'll ask if its meant to.

Thank you!

I'm also trying to figure out how to break apart quoted text. When I transcribe an image it imports all the text in a single quote box. I tried to make non-quoted comments in the middle of the quote block and couldn't figure out how to go back to standard text in the middle of a quote block.

Yeah it's a pain to break out of the quote block. Really need an extra space underneath before the transcript starts. I'm hoping they'll fix that.

This was really helpful! I picked up a couple key shortcuts that I'd been thinking I needed, but never took the time to find. I date all of my notes, but always type out the date by hand.

You've saved me thousands of keystrokes. :-) Thank you!

I use Evernote on Windows (11) and previously could move from the notes list to the selected note by hitting Enter but this no longer works (still works on Evernote Web). Just me or anyone else noticed this?

Explain a bit more about what you're doing. I'm on Win 11 and I can check it out.

Thanks Jon (using Evernote app (not web) on Win11). Scenario is:

In a list of notes (i.e. middle column) for whatever notebook with a particular note selected (blue border highlight

In many cases I might like to quickly edit the title or body of the selected note in the list

Can do this of course by clicking on the corresponding not title or body but I prefer to use keyboard shortcuts where possible

As mentioned moving to the body of the selected note in the list used to be a case of just hitting enter but this no longer works for me

Additionally the keyboard shortcut to move to the note title no longer seems to be working (however if get to the body then can just Shft Tab to the title so can workaround that)

Seems surprising that such a basic action would be removed and hence the question to see if the situation universal of just with my setup somehow

Hope that explains things more clearly

I have got around it by linking a keyboard shortcut (Alt B) to a mouse move into the body via FastKeys but would still be interested to hear if the same situation for you etc

Great useful post Jon - helping me to remember some of the EN shortcuts that I'd forgotten. I especially appreciated "Paste to Evernote. Copy any contents to a note from anywhere." - I hadn't appreciated its power and didn't realise that this would create a new note with the clipped content. Very useful. I knew that you could double-click on a note in the note list to open it in a new window, but "Open note in a new window" is better! I also didn't realise that "Create a new note from anywhere in its own window" was possible. All in all a very useful post. Thanks for this.

I've been away on holiday for a couple of weeks so have a bit of catching up to do - I was on desktop v10.103.3 when I left, and have come back to v10.105.4 - missed v10.104 altogether!

So I'll carry on catching up with TTT and looking forward to some of the things hinted at in Federico's tweets like customising the sidebar and easily sharing notes with people who don't have an EN account. Just hope they can sort oit the two-way calendar sync soon.

Thanks. Two weeks holiday and you miss like 100 updates ;) Hope you had a nice time and it was warm. Frozen windscreen this morning!

I've heard a rumour that calendar sync is possibly sometime next week but on a roll out to make sure it works better than last time.

"... check your word count or see any other information about your note then on PCs hit Ctrl + Shift + I and on Macs go for ⇧ ⌘ I"

It seems that on EN Mac this works for Note info only; but no word count as far as I can see.

Nice spot. I think you've found a bug. Its not showing for me on Windows but was on 10th when I took the screen grab in the post. I've mentioned it.
