I’m on 10.111.2 but I don’t get the share banner you mention. Does that mean this hasn’t been rolled out to me yet? I do get the link copied to the clipboard, but anyone accessing that link has to log into Evernote. Is that expected? I was hoping for a way to share with others that did not require them to have an account (other than emailing). If I remember correctly, we did have that pre version 10.
It could be. Form what I understand this is a roll out. Try a log out and back in again to see if it helps.
If you grab a share link using the share button it should open without anyone having to login as the permission will be "anyone with the link can view".
Jon, I am a genealogist. I name notes by State, County, deed book, page- person’s name.
But all my sources have a unique number I’d like to also be able to sort by. Previously I’d used the author field, but we can no longer sort by that field.
So for instance, I wanted to print notes for a bibliography, I could
sort by that number and then print them in the same order my genealogy program would use.
I've always thought custom meta data would be a good idea. The ability to create custom field boxes and have them searchable and appear in the note info window.
That would be useful. If i remember correctly old Evernote had a shortcut bar across the top a bit like browser bookmarks.
There are working on more sidebar improvements but they're concious of rolling things out slowly as not to change anything too quickly for folk. I'd love to see a more visual way of showing notebooks and tags.
The notebook sorting is a game changer for me. Evernote had it back in the early days and it screwed up my workflow for a while. Now it’s back and I’ve already found my life easier.
Experienced the new sharing feature this week and it’s very slick. Reminds me of OneDrive sharing and its permission options. Very nice!
Just a thought - would it be good to be able to change the colour of the borders of a table? While organising things to display in a table is useful, I wonder if there atr instance where it might be more presentable if only the content was shown and noyt the borders? Maybe being able to change the colour of the vborders to white could do that?

Also can we please have sort by author back or better yet, be allowed to assign a unique number to a note and sort by that. Not in the title.

Would be useful to sort by this. A workaround could be to use an advanced search like: author:"bob bobson"
You could save this as a search if you need it a lot.

Down to another notebook, it scrolls out of view, totally defeating the purpose of having shortcuts to begin with!
And could we please get tag and notebook styles back I used the colored dots for tags alot.

I have to keep up with thousands of microfilms online status, and that feature is very missed.

It did. I remember using it in old Evernote but kind of got out of the habit with V10. I need to rework it into my workflows.
The new sharing view is great and in a few weeks is going to go one step beyond! I wish I could say something lol.
