Using Win10 desktop. It's the box that should pop up on right click on the system tray icon. It once made a nice sized box into which one could type a quick note and save if needed. Very handy. But, since after 10.66 -- a click (or alt-cntl-H) only puts an app name box, 'Evernote Quick Note' on the taskbar, which goes away the moment it's clicked on. As I say, I bugged it and have heard nothing in return. 10.66 works, anything later doesn't. 10.79.3 just forced itself on me yesterday. *dropped the '0' in my earlier note, sorry to say.*

Try grabbing 10.81.4 to see if anything changes. On Win 11 ALT+CRL+H works as expected. I'll try later on my Win 10 laptop.

Our IT department did not approve the connection between Microsoft and Evernote, flagged as a security risk. Just mentioning as that might be the case for others like me who "work for the man"

Yeah. A few folk are going to find this. Has a client last week who couldn't use Google Docs on their work laptop!

I'd love to be able to press the Esc key from the slash command to cancel the options and revert to 'normal' typing. So, after pressing the slash key and seeing the presented list of things I can insert I may want just carry on typing text.

I automatically hit Esc yesterday and found it didn't close the pop up. I wrote it down to mention in a future call. Would be great to be able to dismiss it.

Another New Version! Terrific! BUT: Since about v1.73, the quick note function is broken. Have bugged it and gotten no response. Have been reinstalling v1.66 -- the last one that QN worked on -- after every update, to the last, v1.79, which FORCED itself on me and won't let go. Quick Note still broken.

When you say quick note is that the Evernote Helper box that you can launch from ALT+CTRL+H ? What device are you using? Latest for mobile and desktop is 10.81.x right now.

On my Windows 11 PC, Alt+Ctrl+H opens the EN Helper window when Evernote is running, for input and creation of a Quick Note. My recollection is that you used to be able to use that shortcut even when Evernote wasn't running - there was an icon in the Windows System Tray with some options clickable from it. Thre Helper only appears in the tray after EN is running now? Ands in my case, the icon is actually blank - there's a space in the System Tray which if you hover over it gives you the limited EN Helper options.

I don't have a great problem with the Helper only being available when EN is running - I normally have EN load at start, but I imaginenit would be useful if you've closed the main app down to get more space/memort/CPU for other apps.
