I will definitely be using LaTeX, but not as much as I had hoped. LaTeX supports "in line" formatting. I.e., it allows you to put a math formula in the flow of your text rather than in just a separate box. But Evernote doesn't. This limitation sadly limits how much I will be able to take advantage of LaTeX.
Another point: Until this posting, I didn't know how to use the new feature. I found nothing about LaTeX in the Help section. I tried seeing if it worked in the regular text (it didn't) and failed to see "Formula" when glancing quickly through the long list of Insert commands. I mention this in the hopes that in the future when Bending Spoons announces new features, it will somewhere explain how to use them.
10.114.3 should've fixed the slowdown for large accounts. I updated yesterday evening and all good so far and with that update you should get the hardware acceleration. Mine makes no difference but I hear some folk have switched it on and found a lot of performance benefits.

Yeah. The release notes in the help menu sometimes say something but other times not a lot. I find it hard work sometimes to keep up!
... 5 mins. Hardly time to get passed simple arithmetic. ; ))))
And the formula function is likely to stay niche with or without help from Islay.
I saw an equation and ran for the hills! Islay always helps ;)
I'm on EN 113.5 and avoiding the mess in 114, not that I am a big user; I just don't like messes!
LaTeX leaves me cold - I gave up Maths in O level, back in the 1950s (Steampunk age!)
No 'Hardware Accelerate ' option on my HP PC W10. I'm so slow, it wouldn't make a difference...

With you on LaTeX!!
